Who writes it?

Casa Costa is written by Letisia, a Belgian who has lived on the Costa Blanca for four years. First-person articles describe her own visits and experiences — the favourites… and the disappointments.

“We tried it”: real experiences, not a catalogue

An article labelled We tried it describes a real visit. We say what we liked, what we didn’t, and sometimes that a first visit didn’t win us over.

Our other articles are researched guides: we build them from official sources (tourist offices, town halls, venues’ own websites), and never claim to have been somewhere if we haven’t.

Independence

Unless stated otherwise, our visits are independent and are not sponsored content. If a piece were ever produced in partnership, it would be clearly labelled as such.

Checked practical information

Opening hours, prices, market days: we check them against official sources and give the date we checked. When sources disagree or aren’t official, we say so (“check before you go”) rather than make things up. This information changes: always check before you set off.

Honest photos

Every photo is credited: our own photos, venues’ photos credited to their owner, or openly licensed photos (author and licence shown). We never pass off a generic photo as a specific place.

Your suggestions

You can tip us off about your hidden gems. A suggestion is never published automatically and is neither a recommendation nor advertising: we freely decide what we research, try and write about. When one of your ideas becomes an article, it’s after our own visit: “You suggested it… we tried it!”.
